Events IRL: Jack Henry Connect Closing Celebration
Jack Henry hosted their annual Jack Henry Connect Conference at the San Diego Convention Center September 8-11. On their last day, they hosted their closing celebration for their attendees on board the Midway Museum.
Our team LOVES hosting large group events like Jack Henry Connect with our super stations for serving guests. This event had an estimate of over 2000 guests RSVP to celebrate the end of their conference week. The Midway Museum is an amazing option for clients who are looking to host large groups with an epic event. This venue offers options for both indoor and outdoor with the use of their flight deck and hangar bay. We have catered numerous events on the Midway Museum over the past few years for large groups ranging from large weddings to multi-thousand company celebrations.
When it comes to hosting and serving large guest counts, we begin the logistical planning process once we have confirmed that the event is ready to move forward. From mapping the floor plans to having our team in flight suits, each detail does not get missed!
With the support of the operations team of the museum to operate the forklift, our teams work hand in hand to bring the equipment on board from our trucks to the proper deck.
Some of our servers dressed in their flight suits to help direct guests to the different food stations.
We work closely with the venue to ensure that we can support our client’s event success. At The Midway Museum, it is crucial that we’re communicating with their operations team to be able to help supply us with electricity and the proper equipment to bring our supplies on board. Their cooperation and support is important to ensure that we can continue to provide the highest level of service to our client.
To ensure that the food is served fresh, we have multiple kitchens set up on each deck to ensure that they are able to focus on the menu items for the stations within their proximity. This allows our team to replenish and ensure that all items are served properly and guests can enjoy the food in a timely manner.
At our super stations, we make it possible for guests to access the food stations easily. The last thing we want is guests waiting for a long time to get a bite. In many cases, these closing reception celebrations have guests excited to eat and save their appetite to enjoy the evening. To utilize the venue space, we also recommend clients to multiply the amount of stations throughout the venue so that guests can easily access the different menu items wherever they are.
Before the event, we can also communicate our floor plans which clients can use to help provide an event map to guests so they can see where different food stations are located. This is particularly helpful to those who are looking for specific menu items to try or have a dietary accommodations. At each station, we offer the option to have neon signs to highlight that station’s menu, especially at night.
This Slider Station is just one of the ways we set up our super stations to help serve as many guests as possible throughout the event. This configuration allows us to serve from multiple sides as guests approach the area. Additionally, the neon signs help identify the menu that is being served at each station from a distance with the full menu listed on tabletop menu signs.
This is just one primary example of how we’re able to support our large events that we cater in San Diego. The Midway Museum has become a popular option for larger groups, especially for conference attendees, offering stunning views of San Diego and well paired delicious bites.
