With our team building culinary experience, you will be working with our professional chefs and event facilitators to directly support your team-building goals while you cook! Through this experience, which focuses on communication, collaboration, problem solving, decision making and enhancing leadership skills–and our signature wildly exceptional cuisine, of course,– you will leave with a renewed sense of “team” and a full belly!

Whether you’re looking for an energized “Chopped”-style cooking competition, craving to create handmade pasta, ready to roll some sushi or looking for “sippable” success with delicious cocktails expertly mixed by your group, we have the best team-building cooking experiences in San Diego that create opportunities for growth and connection.
The Delicious Details —
Each Team Building Thyme Experience is a 3-4 hour event (depending on experience selected) and includes:
A welcome mocktail
A cheese board or veggie crudité platter to begin the delicious fun
Chef hats for each team member to decorate
A dedicated event host to help facilitate your experience
One server
Additionally, you will have use of our state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and tools, and we’ll be supplying all the ingredients and guidance from a professional chef to pull off this fun culinary experience at our Miramar headquarters. No cooking experience is necessary! At the end of your event, you will receive a recipe card to take home and enjoy with your favorite people!

Each experience begins at $125 per person, and pricing is all inclusive. Our facility can host 12-30 guests for this experience.

Inspired by the popular culinary competition show “Chopped,” this experience brings together your team through healthy competition and…mystery!
Your team will be divided into groups and will have one hour to create and execute a cohesive menu that includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert and incorporates a mystery ingredient. Groups will then present their finished dishes to our chef judges, after which you can enjoy your inspired meal!

Jumpstart delicious creativity with this team building experience. Collaborate to flavor your dough, choose your toppings and create the pizza of your dreams. This experience can easily be turned into a competition-style challenge as well to determine the pizza ingredient combination that takes the cake!...ahem, pie!

Thyme to bond? This hands-on experience creates the perfect environment for collaboration and fun while you learn to make delicate pasta from scratch.
Our professional chefs will teach your team the ins and outs of pasta-making utilizing high-quality ingredients, after which you’ll select the sauce of your choice to create a stuffed pasta dish.
Your team will also learn how to make tiramisu, after which you can enjoy your delicious pasta and dessert!

It doesn’t get better than this! Hand create exceptionally delicious Mexican street tacos from start to finish.
Your team will make corn or flour tortillas, then fill with your choice of salsas, provided proteins, and toppings.
Together you will also make either buñuelos or churros for a sweet bite to finish your experience.

For the artist in us all. Join our professional sushi chefs to create gorgeous hand rolls and nigiri as a team.
From tips and tricks to finishing touches, each participant will create their own rolls and nigiri to enjoy.
This experience continues with a highly sensory “painted table” sweet ending. Your team will get to unleash their artistic sides to create a eye-catching spread of sweet ingredients.

Cocktails, mocktails, cheese and charcuterie await you in this libation-focused experience.
Your team will learn how to create a stunning cheese and charcuterie board Wild Thyme Co. style, and then become mixologists, creating three cocktails, and three mocktails to enjoy.
